We are excited to announce that the Bambino Digital Literacy Club is back in session for the new term! Building on the success of last term, we are committed to equipping students with essential digital skills that will prepare them for the ever-evolving digital landscape.
What’s New This Term?
This term, students will be diving into an exciting new course: Getting Started with Canva. Canva is a powerful design tool that allows users to create stunning graphics, presentations, posters, and more with ease. The course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of graphic design, helping them develop both technical and creative skills.
What Students Will Learn:
- Navigating the Canva Platform: Understanding the workspace and how to use its features effectively.
- Designing Templates: Learning to create, customize, and manage design templates for various projects.
- Graphic Design Basics: Mastering the principles of good design, including layout, color theory, and typography.
- Creating Presentations: Developing engaging, interactive presentations using Canva’s advanced tools.
- Designing Posters: Crafting visually appealing posters with strong messaging and calls to action.
Expectations for the Club:
By the end of the term, students are expected to:
- Demonstrate Proficiency in Canva: Students should be able to navigate the platform confidently and utilize its tools to create diverse digital content.
- Showcase Creative Projects: Each student will complete an interactive presentation that reflects the skills they’ve gained throughout the course.
- Apply Design Principles: Students will understand and apply fundamental design principles in their work.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Encourage teamwork and creative thinking through group projects and activities.
- Participate in a Showcase Event: To wrap up the term, students will present their projects in a special showcase event, celebrating their progress and achievements.
